It's 4:30am, soar throat, coughing up hair balls, you know the drill. I've got this new touchphone...never had one of these before, old moggy new tricks.

I've just learnt (after owning it a month) i can download apps like Google sky maps, which i love being a cosmic cat, so wondered if there was anything in the way of a doodling app.

Yes, lots. I went for the easy option after reading loads of reviews on each app. Sketcher seems to be very favoured, so this was to be my weapon of mobile construction.

It's very easy to make a few paws across the screen look like a highly detailed, shaded little sketch. This is a moon bean, they've been following me round lately and i gotta say this one looks mightily more impressive than the one i sketched on the train the other day...with a real pen i mean.

I've heard rumour i can get a styles pen for this phone so that might be my next investment for these feline fingers.

I'm not sure if it was the subliminal effect of "Motown Monday" on Magic radio or the standee of a large jazz singing lady peering down from my bedroom shelf...who incidentally wears similar attire, albeit more glittery,...but this Diva just jumped onto the page with accompanied voice acting. (I could never do a public mural as my characters come to life in my head and I involuntarily act out these imagined animations)

"Oh Sugar! Ma name'st-Jewel and am a hoppin' and a hopin you's all right tonight and y'all in the mood to show me your groove, Frog bless!"

That's right, I'm that guy who sings to his Ipod on the late night run of the number 12 bus, but one day I'm going be noticed by Comedy Central....and they're gonna just keep on walking.

It's been a while and true to say it should not have been this long a while, but even if we could predict lifes events would we actually be able to stop them unfolding?

Well, now the raging tide has calmed I finally present panel 1 of the Core I.T Drop In Centre. (The original name of "laptop bar" was dropped after a sleazey looking font I used which might have suggested "Gentleman's Private Dance Club"
I have to admit, it was a sneaky deliberation on my half, but you know the future implications of ill-wording....mentioning no recent movies...The Last Airbender.

Many Mogs All Under One Roof

Look to the skies of my blog. Another page! I'm coming closer to my original pen on ruled paper doodle dream. I'll surrender and give a point to the new template designs; "I was going to put links there anyway" doesn't quite cut it with curvy cornered tabs.

Let me introduce you to Amy's buns, they're astonishing in both look and taste (though for some inexplicable reason they weigh around 5 pounds each and would cause a crater if dropped from a great height..but one should never indulge in the sport of cake throwing)

Amy's cakes are becoming a very appreciated regular in the workplace each week a different colour flavour and well suited sprinkle. They're like buns dressed for a prom...and I think they'd sell like hot cakes (bad pun totally intended) which is why I've taken to marketing in them with bad slogan campaigns.

I would love to bake mognificent muffins like Amy's, but sadly I haven't baked since...

...my sales of angry star cookies didn't reach a very high profit margin at their initial release on a Valentine's Day stall. The colours were right, and I made my Patties with passion, but I guess the romance escaped his Armageddon eyes. Personally I think there's a market for them...probably in Japan.

Sods law: When you're looking for it, it can't be found, when you've given up the goose and succumbed to an early morning fast food binge the penny drops...quite literally. The ringing in our ears...the ringing.

My cousin, the legendary and soon to be a youtube supertramp, superstar sorry, Liam Linley of paymeapenny.com as outlined a new mission; The Million Pound Experiment. this treacherous (tedious) life-endangering (exhausting) mission involved finding a penny...on the street...in Barnsley (past coal mining town famous for corrie star Katherine Kelly, a Kestrel and Kipper Jackson...who recent suspicions suggest may be related to another cousin of ours. we don't talk much.) This simple task of finding a penny took 2 hours, 3 bottles of lucozade and the resuscitation of a passing nun, but still no penny. This is either the effect of a global recession or a town notorious for it's Poundland sales decline on the dawning of the 99p Store.

So at 2am this morning I set about designing the logo for The Million Pound Experiment...and here we are

but that's not the exciting part, my daring camera work is, just kidding, it's the despair (look of ultimate guttedness on Liam's face) of the failure to find the elusive piece of copper.

Core Priorities

Priorities is definitely the word today. I want to;

Add some pages to this blog (past works, projects, groups, etc)
Attach an event calender
Find some events to attach to events calendar
Link in some more accounts
Drink several cups of decaf and convince my body otherwise

but most importantly I have a commission from The Core: Voluntary Actions for Barnsley a sector dedicated to helping voluntary groups in the community. I won an art competition they held in 2008, my art deco/Russian Constructivism hybrid piece now hangs in the main foyer, and they've remained great friends ever since.

So it's wonderful to hear when they'd like me to paint them up a new piece of mog for their computer area...here's the rough plan, it's computer inspired

That white area on the right is not in fact polar bears in the Arctic but blank canvas awaiting my input. Brushes to the ready, my aim for today is the full scale model, time to Mogsimize.

Then of course finish the day with lashings of cold milk and 30 Rock

Mogblogtom is here splodging his first entry, marking his new bloggy territory...best past the blog roll.

Mogblogtom is the official blogspot of mogtagtom.com Illustration and Graphic Design, but the man behind the mog is me, Tom, and I'm having kittens at the thought of everything being linked up soon.

You reach me now in phase 1; CONNECT-A-CAT which is basically me trying to connect all my mogtag channels spread across the web (in that way that cats spread) and link them all to here! Then you can see what I'm doing and I can keep track of what I'm supposed to be doing and you should never put all your cats in one laundry basket!
